I have a financial and business background and have been financially responsible for several companies in various industries. For example in ICT and logistics / transport.

Since 1998 I work as an independent entrepreneur and interim coach. My specialties are change management and team building. I performed many different missions. Even with large national organizations in development.

In 2009 a visit to Uganda as a volunteer enriched my life. Some six months I worked side by side with the Ugandan population at a small foundation for orphanage and vulnerable children  in Kampala.

I established two chicken farms and I helped with fund-raising. Thanks to the donations from many people I could also donate computers to a few primary schools and foundations and teach them how to use the computer.

I am Ron Dietz, born on 5 February 1948 in the Hague. In the Hague I attended the commercial college and spent my military service with the air force in Germany. Next I was trained to be a programmer at IBM and  I have held various jobs within the ICT sector since.

In my spare time I am actively involved in sport – I play tennis and golf. Many years I was a member of the Rotary Club in my area and I always enjoyed fund-raising for charity. Since 1975 I have lived in Bergschenhoek. At the time it was a village with 6,000 inhabitants bordering on Rotterdam. The village has 20,000 inhabitants now.

Since January 2012 I have been a member of the board of the Astrid Uganda Foundation. My name is Jan Apperloo, I am 27 years old, and at present I live in Alphen a/d Rijn in the Netherlands. This past year I lived in the Ugandan capital Kampala.

I stayed in a poor quarter in the north of the city where I worked for a small organization as an advisor in fundraising, communication and social work.
