I am Ron Dietz, born on 5 February 1948 in the Hague. In the Hague I attended the commercial college and spent my military service with the air force in Germany. Next I was trained to be a programmer at IBM and I have held various jobs within the ICT sector since.
In my spare time I am actively involved in sport – I play tennis and golf. Many years I was a member of the Rotary Club in my area and I always enjoyed fund-raising for charity. Since 1975 I have lived in Bergschenhoek. At the time it was a village with 6,000 inhabitants bordering on Rotterdam. The village has 20,000 inhabitants now.
Realisation of Projects
When my former colleague Jaap Taal told me that, also on behalf of his late wife Astrid, he had founded the Astrid Uganda Foundation, I indicated to him that I would really like to help by organizing events to raise money. I have become enthusiastic by the visble results that have been achieved until now. Recently I joined the Board of the Astrid Uganda Foundation. I want to help realizing the projects.
