September 2016

By the chairman

For a long time now, we, the Dutch, have been taking our long holiday period during the summer months of July and August. In Uganda, however, the seasons are completely different from ours; they have their holidays around New Year.

It is for that reason that the ASOD-project could indeed start tuition in Kampala on 1 August. You can learn more about this in this newsletter, in which we will also discuss the Gemert Mert which is about to take place as we write this newsletter. We will also talk about the foundation: ‘Gemert, a source to others’.

Action to Support Orphans and Disadvantaged

Read what John himself has to say about it.

Gemert, a Source for Others

On Sunday 11 September we were again present at the Gemert Mert. This ‘we’ by the way is not only the Astrid Uganda Foundation. Other charities from Gemert and its wider environment also attended this market and together we are part of the organisation called ‘Gemert, a source for others’.
